Feel the Unreal with Nike Air Max AR at Coachella

We defied gravity with Nike Air Max Dn this year and used AR to visualize what it feels like to wear the Nike Air Max Dn at Coachella. Like floating on a cloud!

THE CONCEPT

We worked with Nike to support the release of their new Air Max silhouette. Attendees on-site were able to use AR technology to transform the iconic Coachella installation Spectra into a surreal Air Max activation, with a massive unreleased Air Max colorway bouncing on Spectra.

Fans headed to the famous Spectra art piece to scan a QR code for a chance to win. For the lucky few, the Air Max would appear as an AR filer bounce on Spectra. Winning participants see Air Max bubbles float out of Spectra. Winners got a barcode they could bring to the physical pop-up by a Nike team member, who verified, then hooked up the lucky winner with their swag!
