Using AR to provide Coachella touchpoints to millions of fans around the world
We collaborated with 21 of the top Spark AR artists in the world to create 13 different effects. Each effect, created new standards for social AR and debuted new technical advances - persistence, multi-plane tracking, audio reactivity, etc.
THE CONCEPT
We lead a multi-year partnership between Coachella and Meta to bring mobile AR to millions of Coachella fans around the globe.
For the first time, we collaborated with each art installation artist to create a virtual extension of their art and we crafted virtual worlds for artists such as BLACKPINK, Tobe Nwigwe, Becky G, and more.
Using mobile AR helped us unlock a new layer of virtual experiences at the festival and around the world, allowing us to generate new, interactive IP for Coachella and festival artists.
At the festival, our in house creative team produced over 10 pieces of real-time VFX content over weekend 1 and 2 to support our Meta experiences.
